Fired by Imagination
Surrounded by some of the world’s most spectacular scenery, Rugged Class Waterfalls & Pools is in an enviable position when it comes to designing and building magnificent poolscapes—but that does not make founder Robin Rodgers complacent. He uses the breathtaking Pacific Northwest as a backdrop for his creations, making sure, however, to constantly keep his designs and the neighboring natural world in complete harmony with each other.
Teamed with Jesus De La Cruz, Rodgers has spent over 30 years cultivating his craft, learning about and building superior outdoor environments. Today, the company is one of the most respected design firms in the Pacific Northwest. Rugged Class Waterfalls & Pools is licensed to plan and build or renovate custom pools and spas plus install complete outdoor environments, water features, ponds, landscapes, and hardscapes.
Never one to rest, Rodgers always seeks educational opportunities to upgrade his skills by participating in classes and workshops offered by the Genesis Design Group. He has finished courses in watershape construction, hydraulics, elements of design, design communications, and perspective drawings. “My aim is to please every client,” says Rodgers. “It is my job to keep up with current trends and techniques. Right now, fire features are popular, and we are incorporating them into our designs, but only when a pool setting can handle the extra drama.”
Rodgers begins every project the same way: by meeting with clients, determining what is needed and wanted, and gaining a true sense of the project’s scope. Going back and forth with the client is encouraged. “The only way to make the client truly happy with their new pool is to make sure they know what they are getting from the very beginning,” says Rodgers. Rugged Class Waterfalls & Pools is a proud member of the Structure Studios and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
