Creating Outdoor Environment Dreams

Poolscapes, Inc. was established in 1998 in Round Rock, Texas, where Richard Lynch, the company’s president, began building quality custom gunite swimming pools in the Austin and central Texas area. With his expertise in the industry and ability to build quality pools while keeping customers happy, the business grew by word of mouth.Poolscapes takes great pride in their finished product and that has enabled the company to grow and remain in business for over 20 years. “With good communication and a vision and understanding for each design, we are ableto ensure that every aspect of the design is well executed, producing a quality finished product,” says Richard, who has worked in the swimming pool industry for over 35 years. He has used his passion and love for pool design and construction to develop Poolscapes, Inc. into one of the premier Austin area pool builders.

After graduating college in 2005, Richard’s son, Ryan Lynch, joined the Poolscapes team full time after working part time for several years learning the ins and outs of the business while attending school.“Poolscapes is a family owned and operated business and plans to stay that way as we look to our future in the swimming pool industry. I have the privilege of working with my dad, sister Niki Whitley, and brother-in-law Todd Whitley, which is nice because there is a sense of trust you get with family that you might not get otherwise,” states Ryan, the company’s vice president. “We take great pride in the quality of our finished product and our main objective is to build the best pool possible,” he adds.

Given the topography and wide-range of soil conditions of Austin and the surrounding hill country, Poolscapes is presented with many challenging and unique projects that must be creatively engineered and constructed.  It’s not uncommon for Poolscapes to build pools 10 to 50 feet above the natural grade or to build a pool on top of piles that are driven 20 feet or more into the ground.

As the company transitions from one generation of pool builder to the next, Poolscapes looks forward to taking on even more challenging projects while pushing the envelope of pool design and construction.  They enjoy collaborating with some of the best architects, engineers, and custom home builders in the Austin area and look forward to developing new relationships as they work to create the outdoor living environments of their clients’ dreams.

With a total combined experience of over 100 years in the swimming pool industry, the designers and project managers of Poolscapes contain the knowledge necessary to keep these projects on schedule without compromising the integrity of the finished product.  “We feel that our experience is our best attribute and we utilize it on every project,” says Richard.
