LaCantina Doors’ (LaCantina) new Vinyl Folding system was named a 2016 Product Innovation Award (PIA) winner in the Windows/Doors/Openings category by Architectural Products, the leading business magazine focused on products, materials and applications for the architectural market involved in commercial and institutional building design.
The PIA awards identify and honor innovation in the development and refinement of commercial buildings-related products that run the gamut from cladding systems to interior finishes. This marks the third consecutive year that LaCantina has been awarded with a prestigious PIA.

Building on the success of last year’s program, the sixth edition of the awards proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and affordability.
Products were judged by a panel of 28 independent judges, a diverse and impartial body that included architects, interior designers, lighting designers and veteran A/E/C writers—based on their expertise and interest.
Designed to appeal the needs of a broader market, LaCantina’s new Vinyl Folding system brings contemporary design and high performance to the Vinyl door market, LaCantina Vinyl is energy efficient, low maintenance, performs well in all environments and matches popular vinyl window packages. The new Vinyl system features a narrow 2 15/16” stile and rail profile for more glass and light, an exclusive contemporary hardware package available in stainless steel or bronze finish, concealed multi-point locking for a clean aesthetic and comes standard with LoE dual glaze glass for increased energy efficiency.
