This home and poolscape engages at every opportunity with color, bold forms, and seaside surroundings. Influenced by the tightly constrained site, with large residences on adjacent lots, the homeowners wanted privacy and a protected lawn. Rather than creating a convex form toward the Pacific—which would have exposed window views to the neighbors on either side—architecture and interior design firm Ike Kligerman Barkley designed a concave oceanside elevation, providing views from all the water-facing rooms and creating a protected, lozenge-shaped lawn. A convex negative-edge 110-foot pool, along with a spa, fire pit, and seating area, complete the Cabo San Lucas, Mexico residence. ikekligermanbarkley.com
