How to Spruce up Your Backyard Pool this Summer

Summer is here and it’s time to strip off those winter layers and unwind around the pool. Yet, stripping off those winter layers doesn’t mean you can dive straight into the cool water to relax. More often than not, the pool can be forgotten over those cooler months, and before you host that much needed pool party, there may be a need for a much needed revamp of the pool area. There is a lot that can be done to give that summer haven a new look. Regardless of whether are happy to splurge on your pool area, or whether you do not want to dig too deep into the piggy bank, these ideas are fit for any budget.

A simple solution can often be seen in the purchase of simple pool accessories. Not only do they add that extra element of fun, whether it be just for yourself when lazing around, or for your guests, they also add to the aesthetics of your pool side area. Whether you opt for the blow up chairs to laze around in with a cold beverage, or a competitive game of pool volleyball, there are so many options to choose from. You can choose from a variety of styles, sizes and colours to ensure you find the perfect touch.

If blow up’s aren’t really what is needed, or you feel like adding a classier touch to the pool surroundings, a perfect alternative can be found at shops, such as Ikea,  that supply an array of outdoor furnishings. Adding a gazebo can allow for much needed shade in those heatwaves, but also provides the perfect place for guests to gather when entertaining. Whilst reclining lounge chairs add that luxurious touch when soaking up the sun, they also allow for every swimming experience to feel as though it is apart of a holiday. There is also the option of choosing outdoor coffee tables to add that extra bit of class. If you would prefer something simpler, you can always opt for the  standard outdoor table settings, allowing you to have an area to enjoy those summer barbeques, or long lunches with family and friends.

Some people may opt for changing the structure of their outside space, and this can be done in quite a few ways. Retiling the pool can always add that little extra something, and make your pool look as though it is brand new. There is also the option of adding pond pumps to shallower sections of your pool. A pond pump will act as a fountain in the chosen area and add that extra class to make you feel as though you are on a permanent holiday. This doubles as extra fun for the kids, whilst adding a unique touch to your pool.

These are just are few of the options you can choose from when renovating your pool space. However, if you feel these are not what you are looking for when updating your luxury pool area, there are plenty more ideas out there to give you inspiration.
