A custom barbecue kitchen with a thatch roof imported from South Africa overlooks the Colorado River. Its bamboo trimming, custom design and cut by Richard Babcock, looks beautiful from the balcony above. The poured-in-place polished concrete countertops and the commercial grade hibachi grill, sink, and refrigerator withstand the Arizona-Nevada 120-degree temperatures across from Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area (landscaped, by the way, by Babcock).
