Fire Features

The hottest trend in pool design

From glowing fire pits and fire bowls to blazing tiki torches and fire troughs, today’s talented pool builders and designers are incorporating a variety of fire features in their swimming pool designs. The use of fire in and around a swimming pool presents a striking visual as the dancing flames reflect off the water’s surface. The addition of fire also adds function and dramatic ambiance when entertaining or enjoying the pool at night.

Pool with Fire and Water Bowls

During the day, the flickering flames and soothing trickle of the fire and water bowls encourage relaxation. At night, they provide a warm glow as the homeowners enjoy their pool well into the evening.

Pool with Fire Pits

Automated stone fire pits offset this magnificent backyard resort-style pool and landscape. The fire’s bright flames create a magnetic sight that transforms the poolscape into a nighttime gathering hub and extends its use into the cooler months.

Pool with Volcano Fire Pits and Tiki Torches

An array of fire features, including seven volcano fire pits, dozens of tiki torches and an outdoor fireplace, provide the finishing touch to this private backyard oasis, which was designed to recreate the look and feel of a tropical vacation getaway.

The impressive poolscape (it’s 10 times larger than your average family pool and three times larger than most hotel pools) also features a waterslide, grotto, 15-person hot tub, and five waterfalls.

Pool with Fire Lanterns and Cauldrons

This majestic poolscape demonstrates the artistic use of fire as a decorative element. At night the stained glass lanterns and Chinese fire cauldrons surrounding the pool create a spectacular show as the flames reflect off the pool water and bounce shadows throughout the setting.

Rising out from the pool, the elegant tiered fountain becomes a stunning focal point once the sun goes down. The mix of fire, water, and color-changing LED lighting create a beautiful contrast and an even more attractive reflection.
