According to the Pantone Fashion Color Report for Spring 2012, the hottest colors this season are a mix of vibrant brights, soft naturals, and lovely pastels. Take a look at the different ways you can add the top 10 color trends to your outdoor space.
1. Spring Color Trend – Tangerine Tango
Used as an accent or the main color scheme, this enticing orange hue is sure to stimulate your senses and brighten your mood. For a bold color statement, pair with complementary shades of blue. Earth tones such as brown, green, and white help tone the vibrancy for a more natural or modern look.
2. Spring Color Trend – Solar Power
Reminiscent of the hot summer sun, this brilliant yellow hue adds warmth and instant energy to any outdoor space. Add touches of sunshine to an otherwise all-white patio through the use of patio cushions, fabrics, plants, and even lights.

3. Spring Color Trend – Bellflower
This pastel purple is inspired by the blooms of the Bellflower plant. While a great color for any room of your home, it presents a unique and fresh look outdoors. Notice how the lavender lighting adds a bit of whimsy to the poolscape at night.
4. Spring Color Trend – Cabaret
Emulating the juicy reddish-pink flesh of a Ruby Red grapefruit, Cabaret is an intense rosy-red that is both feminine and dramatic.
Just a few attention-grabbing accents are all you need to incorporate this stunning bright shade into your backyard room.
5. Spring Color Trend – Sodalite Blue
Sodalite blue takes its name from the gorgeous royal blue tincture of the mineral sodalite. A mix between Navy and Colbalt, it’s bold, but not too bright. It adds sophistication and a nautical flair on its own, but also acts as a calming, neutral base when paired with any of the season’s brighter colors.
6. Spring Color Trend – Sweet Lilac
Nothing induces the freshness of spring more than the sweet scent of Lilacs. Their delicate pinkish-purple blooms add a romantic elegance to your backyard landscape.
