Presented by Luxury Pools, the Pinnacle Awards recognize and honor the pool designers and builders whose projects demonstrate the highest level of technical expertise and design ingenuity in the industry. Each of the four winning projects was evaluated by a panel of five industry professionals based on structural engineering and hydraulics, functionality, landscape architecture, and appearance.
The following pool builders and designers are the only ones in the world meriting the honor of a 2013 Pinnacle Awards; no other company is permitted to display this prestigious symbol with their projects.
Aquatic Consultants, Inc./Brian Van Bower, Florida – 2013 Pinnacle Awards
Featuring an all-tile finish, this dazzling perimeter-overflow and vanishing-edge pool also includes an elevated perimeter-overflow spa. To further enhance the design, the in-pool steps and bench are delineated by slightly contrasting tile color. The project also consists of contemporary water features at the front entrance, the master bedroom, and the living room.
David Tisherman’s Visuals, Inc., California – 2013 Pinnacle Awards
This project is part of a contemporary property, so its design needed to harmonize with the sophistication usually found in this style of architecture. The desired space was limited in size, but the designer was able to maximize the swimming area and the setting’s artistry by visually balancing the site with a strong use of color.
Questar Pools and Spas, Inc., California – 2013 Pinnacle Awards
The pool and house are structurally and visually intertwined. One of the more unique features of the project that especially highlights the interaction between the pool and home is the submerged acrylic window directly above the two-story main entry. This project was designed in collaboration with David Tyrell Architecture.
Huber Pools, Inc., Hawaii – 2013 Pinnacle Awards
This project is an integration of water from the property’s entrance and flowing through the home, terminating in a stunning curved infinity wall with views over the Pacific Ocean from Lanai to Molokai. Custom handrails, blue glass tiles with gold step highlighters, and luxurious finishes enhance this pool’s dramatic beauty.
