Building a new pool or renovating an existing one can be nothing short of overwhelming. That’s why Tara, one of the country’s leading manufacturers of in-ground vinyl pool liners, makes the pool designing process as simple and streamlined as it can be—they even make it fun.

Tara uses a straightforward, step-by-step process and easy-to-use tools to make the process as user-friendly as possible. “Our goal is to provide homeowners with everything they need to create their ideal living space in the convenience and safety of their own backyard,” says Thomas Kennedy, marketing director at Tara Pools. In short, the company focuses on backyard living at its best.

Located in Alabama, Tara designs and manufactures pool liners and covers for the entire country. For over thirty-six years, the company has prided itself in its close attention to detail and its use of only the best quality products. “We only use North American-sourced virgin vinyl,” explains Kennedy, meaning their liners are built to last. They’ll even guarantee that durability with a twenty-year warranty.

Serenity pattern

The company is ushering in a new era of vinyl liners—their fresh new patterns and customization options make their vinyl liner pools just as attractive as gunite ones. Combine that with their easy-to-use website and a quick and simple installation process, and Tara makes it simpler than ever to create the backyard space of your dreams.

Tara currently offers twenty-six different liner options, with endless customization opportunities. Their newest patterns were designed to be “fresh, modern, and invigorating,” says Kennedy. “Each of these boutique patterns was inspired by optimism, wellness, and simplicity.” Particularly exciting are their three Shimmertone patterns, designed with light-reflecting inks, which, says Kennedy, “reflect sunlight to add extra sparkle to your pool.” Another nice touch: if the pattern you select has a border but you’d prefer the clean, contemporary look of a borderless design, Tara can remove it or even replace it with a different border.

Tara takes extra care to customize your liner to your pool by offering different options for stairs, benches, or sundecks. “Unlike vinyl liner pools of the past, you don’t have to settle for solid color fiberglass steps,” says Kennedy. You can choose to use a complementary pattern on these parts of your pool—Kennedy recommends their new CobbleStone designs. The liner material on high traffic areas like stairs and benches will also have more texture and thickness, making these spots more durable and tactile.

Tara has recently simplified their design process even further with their new Envision Pool Designer. The interactive tool shows users how their pattern will look with various pool shapes and deck designs. “Homeowners can see an accurate representation of how each pattern will look when it’s installed,” says Kennedy, who adds that they’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback about the tool. Once a homeowner is finished with their design, they can save it, share it, or print it out to take it to their local Tara dealer.

Once a homeowner has decided to purchase a vinyl liner with Tara, their step-by-step installation process is simple and painless. First, head to their dealer locator to find your local Tara dealer. A representative will come out to take you pool’s measurements and offer suggestions. Then, you’ll pick your favorite pattern from Tara’s current offerings. Use their Envision Pool Designer to see how your liner will look in real life. Your dealer will then send Tara your chosen pattern(s) and measurements, Tara will manufacture and ship out your liner in a matter of days, and your dealer will install your new liner.

Tara recently redesigned their website with ease of use and accessibility top-of-mind. The new accessibility widget in the bottom left corner allows users to customize the page to their needs, making font bigger or making the page more compatible with web readers for folks who are blind. The web design helps users easily access their many resources like How to Choose a Pool Liner, their many blog posts, and their new Envision Pool Designer.

To learn even more, head to Tara’s website where you can browse their many resources. They’re also active on social media, answering customers’ inquiries and providing relevant information. “Interacting with us on social media is great if customers have questions,” says Kennedy. “We respond quickly.”
